General Data Protection Regulation Policy for Alternative Equity Partners A/S

 

1. Introduction

The purpose of Alternative Equity Partners (AEP) personal data policy is to comply with the nature of the Personal Data Regulation article 13, thus giving you an understanding of why your personal information is collected and how this information is collected, protected and used.

 

2. Personal Information

By entering into a client relationship with AEP, legislation requires that we obtain the following types of information, as well as documentation to identify you:

Information about you, including: name (to be documented by copy of passport, driving license, or online social security verification), address, CPR / CVR number, and your account number.

If you, as a client, represents a company, we also collect information about the company’s legal relationships, ownership, including the company’s real owners, directors and authorised signatories.

If you have a foreign address, you will also need to provide information about home country, as well as tax related matters.

If, after a risk assessment, we find it necessary, further documentation can be obtained in the form of ownership agreements, articles of association and general meeting reports.

The legal basis for our processing of your personal information is provided by:

Personal Data Regulation Article 6 1. (b) – treatment is necessary for the performance of the contract.

Personal Data Regulation Article 6 1. (c) – the treatment is required to comply with a legal obligation, refer to Chapter 3 of the Anti-Money Laundering legislation on Know Your Customer.

Personal Data Regulation Article 6 1. (a) – consent has been given for processing personal data for one or more specific purposes.

 

3. Retention of personal data

Your information is kept for as long as it is necessary to meet the purposes for which the information has been collected. In relation to information collected in accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering legislation, information must be kept for as long as you are a client of ours and for five years after termination of the client relationship.

 

4. Disclosure of personal data

We disclose the information that is necessary to fulfil the agreements we have made with you.

We also disclose information about you to public authorities if we are required to do so by law.

In addition, with your consent, we disclose your information internally to the AEP Group and to our collaborators.

You can, upon request, receive more detailed guidelines for when we disclose your information.

 

5. Your rights

5.1. Right of access

As a client of ours, you are always entitled to access the information we have recorded about you, where this information originates from and how we use the information in accordance with the Personal Data Regulation. You can also find out who receives information about you if this information is disclosed.

5.2. Right to rectification

You are entitled to have incorrect information rectified.

5.3. Right to delete

In general, you have the right to have the information we have recorded about you deleted.

However, this is subject to whether we are still required to keep your information in accordance with other legislation.

5.4. Right to data portability

You may, in certain cases, have the right to transfer your personal data from one data manager to another in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

5.5. Right to object

You have the right to object to processing your personal information.

You may object to the use of your information for direct marketing purposes at any time.

5.6. Right to restriction

If you have objected to the processing of your personal information, you may require processing of this information to be limited to storage until it can be determined what to do with the information.

 

6. Withdrawal of consent

If you have consented to the use of your personal information or for the disclosure of your information, you may revoke this consent at any time.
